Everything Breakfast Bagels

The most rewarding recipes to create and technique to perfect. A gluten-free, lactose-free, refined sugar-free, low-histamine breakfast bagel recipe seasoned with homemade bagel seasoning or Trader Joe's Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend.

Ingredients for the Dough:
2 cups flour mix
3/4 cup arrowroot flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
4 eggs & 1 for egg wash
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 T maple syrup
1 T cold water
Everything Bagel Seasoning:
2 tsp sesame seeds
2 tsp poppy seeds
2 tsp minced onion
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
Instructions:
Mix the dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk the wet ingredients together. Combine ingredients, wet to dry, to form the dough.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a medium saucepan, boil about 5 cups of water.
On a floured surface, separate the dough into 6 balls and shape your first bagel.
Drop the bagel into the boiling water and let cook for 1 minute on each side.
Remove the bagel using a large slotted spoon and set the bagel on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Do the same for the remaining bagels.
Then, brush the bagels with egg wash and sprinkle the seasoning on top.
Bake for 40 minutes, until golden brown.
